WHO’S ELIGIBLE?
Youth ages 11-15 who have completed their Hunter Education Certification and who have never purchased a license.
Youth who present their hunter education certification card (out of state Hunter Education cards accepted)
OR
Youth who have complete Hunter Education Course from approved online source, present their Completion Certificate and complete the range portion at the event.
WHAT WILL YOU GET?
Residents and Non-residents may receive the KY Youth Sportsman’s License (value $30)
This license includes: 2 deer permits, 2 turkey permits, waterfowl and migratory birds permit)
Will need youth Social Security Number and Date of Birth to issue license.
HOW DO YOU GET YOUR H.E. CERTIFICATION
1. Complete the Hunter Education Certification Program online prior to the event at http://www.hunter-ed.com/kentucky. PRINT your online course completion certificate and bring copy to event.
- Take the Hunter Safety course by CD-ROM and then attend a range day for completion of the class. Please call 800-858-1549 ext. 4404 to request a copy of the CD-ROM by mail.
